Maple Leaf Small
Kindness, Caring, Optimism, Family and Friends

Pete and Hazel Peterson were two of our first residents at Maple Springs back in 2011. With their contagious optimism, they quickly became the heart of Maple Springs. Pete, a former cowboy and hairdresser, became our in-house donut and scone fryer. Hazel became our welcome ambassador. Pete was constantly coming up with ideas to make it a better place. They showed kindness and caring to everyone.

Our Hospice House is a place where families can come and find peace and comfort. As Pete’s health declined, he wanted to visit and be with people, and he shared a lifetime of common sense knowledge about how to live life with all of us. Our Hospice House embodies all that was important to Pete and Hazel—kindness, caring, optimism and being with family and friends.
